The science of baldness revealed

Picard
Picard knows what we're talking about. His grandfather had a great head of hair!
You can no longer blame your dad for your baldness.
Well. Not strictly.
Science has shown that while your grandfather being bald may increase your chances of facing a future of Rogain and a burning inferiority complex, there's actually more to it than just genetics.
The hair loss gene is typically shared via the X chromosome which men can only get from their mothers, so baldness patterns would have been passed on from their respective fathers. However, just because your grandfather was a silver fox with a full head of hair, don't be getting cocky.
You may still lose yours.
The X chromosome isn't the only thing that causes baldness. Several genes have been found to cause baldness. Stress, for example can also play a part.
So it's good news and bad.
Just because you come from a long line of shiny tops doesn't mean you're going to become one. On the other hand you stand the chance of being the first bald man in a line of men with luscious locks.
Our advice is start meditating, eating right, exercising, perhaps invest in some acupuncture.
If you're really worried, it might make sense to visit a hair loss clinic to see if you can stave off the inevitable.
Watch the video below and try not freak out.
