Geezer Gazillionaires: The World's Oldest Richest People

David Rockefeller, 97.
The youngest billionaires in the world always draw a lot of attention because of their enviable money and age. But on the other side of the ledger are the oldest billionaires, the ones who have spent decades building vast fortunes and now get to cash in as wealthy retirees.
In 2013, we have 17 billionaires over the age of 90, led by 97-year-old David Rockefeller (grandson of the famous oil baron). He moved into the number one spot after the world’s only centenarian billionaire, Walter Haefner, died last June at age 101. Further proving that this can be a temporary honor, last year’s number three, Albert Ueltschi, also passed away last October at age 95. All together, this year’s over-90 list comes to $79.5 billion.
