Carmudi, a site for cars in Nigeria, has recorded 40,000 unique listings on its website with 800,000 Facebook fans.
This is coming shortly after the firm’s dealers’ forum held in Ibadan chapter which hosted members of the automobile dealers association, the firm said in a statement on Monday.
The online marketplace has successfully driven its way into seven cities and is estimated to reach over 10 million users in Nigeria, the firm said.
Commenting on this achievement, the Head of Business Development Africa, Carmiudi, Karl-Johann Sturesson, stated, “The trust we have gained from buyers and sellers across the country is amazing.
We are thrilled that Carmudi is getting such wide reception from the majority of professional car dealers, and individual sellers who are now listing on our site – with this, we are now in a better position to give people the convenience they deserve to find their dream car.”
The increase in listings comes with a 60 per cent increase in the number of site visitors over the last four months.
The Managing Director, Carmudi Nigeria, Christian Keller, explained,
“We have had a busy summer at Carmudi. We needed to ensure we can manage the growth without compromising our quality. It is great to see that both sellers and buyers are honouring our passion of buying and selling cars more conveniently.”
