Glo crashes per second billing, launches Glo Bounce

WorldStage Newsonline-- Telecommunication service provider, Glo Nigeria has launched a new product, ‘Glo Bounce’ to crash voice  and data tariff for its subscribers to as low as 5kobo per second.

The new product, coming 10 years after it introduced per second billing in 2003 is targeted at the youths, with special package for students in particular.

Speaking in Abuja at the launch of the new product, the General Manager, Consumer Marketing, Ashutosh Tiwary explained that the product is aimed at building the largest youth community in the country.

Tiwary, who noted that the telecommunication company changed the dynamics of the telecom industry, said it has brought exceptional benefits to subscribers by launching the per second billing platform.

According to him,  the move crashed the cost of a Subscribers Identity Module (SIM) card  from N20,000 to as low as N1 and that of a call from N50 per min to as low as N10 per minute.

Explaining the benefit of the product, he said it will enable youths reach the peak of their potentials, “Our various competitive tariffs will make telephony more affordable and we will continue to give unlimited opportunity to our subscribers, especially the youths, to reach the pinnacle of their potentials.

“With bounce, our target is to create the largest youth community in Nigeria. It is a great platform for the youth to express themselves and reach the heights of their aspiration.

“With campus zone, many students on campuses will now want to stay on campuses longer as they now have an unlimited opportunity to connect with anybody, anywhere on Glo at the lowest call rate in Nigeria,” he added.

While he pointed out that since the target of the product was for the youth, a special campus zone will be available in all tertiary institutions across the country. It is a big opportunity for youth everywhere to interact with their peers on the Glo network and enjoy these unlimited benefits.

He expressed optimism that Glo bounce will have a transformational impact on the youths of Nigeria and on the way they use their phones and other services and features for far reaching impact.

Glo bounce has features like; free data, zero facebook, free night calls, calls at the rate of 5K/sec to any Glo line and 12k/second rate to all networks, and campus zone rate.
