If you want to know the record holder for the tallest man in the world, then you're in the right place. The tallest man of all time is Robert Wadlow from the United States. Measuring 8 ft 11.1 in (2.72 m). Wadlow reached almost 9 feet in height and weighed 485 lb (220 kg) at his death at age 22. He was born in February 22, 1918 in Alton, Illinois, and died July 15, 1940. Wadlow's size began to take its toll: he required leg braces to walk, and had little feeling in his legs and feet. Despite these difficulties, Wadlow was never confined to a wheelchair.
The tallest living man is Sultan Kösen, born in December in Turkey. Sultan measured 2.47 m (8 ft 1 in). He overtook the title from Bao Xishun (also known as Xi Shun). He is one of only twelve individuals in medical history to be confirmed at a height of eight feet or more.
