1.Akinwunmi Ambode was born on 14 June 1963 in Epe Lagos
2.He was a civil servant for 27 years and a financial consultant before running for public office as Governor of Lagos State in 2015.
3.A one-time Auditor-General for Local Government in Lagos State, he was also appointed as Permanent Secretary, Lagos Ministry of Finance.
4.He later became the youngest Permanent Secretary in the civil service and only the second person to hold both positions of Permanent Secretary and Accountant-General of the state at the same time.
5.For 17 years, Ambode and his wife, Bolanle couldn’t have children according to Blackbox.
6. They were only able to have a set of twins, a boy and a girl through In Vitro Fertilization(IVF) in the United States just a few years ago.
7.Akinwumi Ambode won the gubernatorial poll of Saturday, April 11, defeating the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Jimi Agabje. Out of the 20 local government areas in the state, Ambode won in 15.
