A Multiple award-winning Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie, was
recognized by the international community once again, as her book
‘Americanah’ has been named as the 2013 Best Book by the British
Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The
reputable broadcast medium recently released its top 10 books in the
outgoing year and the Nigerian author claimed the number one spot on the
list.
‘Americanah’ beat the likes of ‘The Good Nurse’ by Charles Graeber,
‘The Flamethrowers’ by Rachel Kushner and ‘The Good Nurse’ by Charles
Graeber to top the BBC’s 2013 Best Book rating.
It would be recalled that Chimamanda was recently featured in
Beyonce’s album. The album has already broke iTunes record, and became
platinum in just few days after its release.
