Curve Communications, Others bag Excellence Award













LAGOS August 31, 2013 – As a sign of recognition for its contribution to information and development, Curve Communications, a fast rising public relations firm, recently received an award of excellence from Links Publications during the unveiling of the International Links Magazine. The event which was tagged “Do it Right” is a reflection of the awards ceremony held at the Muson centre in Lagos. 

The event was a gathering of the high and mighty in the land, as investors, business moguls and industry icons from the north, east and west came together to celebrate a landmark effort from an enterprising organization. The row-call of royal personalities included His Royal Majesty, the Alafin of Oyo Empire, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, who was ably represented by the daughter – Princess Arewa Shade Adeyemi and HRM, Oba Dr. S.A.A Oyefusi (CON).

Other awardees recognised at the event for their excellent contributions to society were personalities like, Honourable Kehinde Odeneye, Alhaji Ahmad Rabiu, Otunba (Sir) O. A. Lawal, Honourable Ganiyu Olusegun Olulade, Mr. Xiaohui Zheng, Honourable Abike Dabiri, Hajia Abibat Haruna, Dr. Olujobi Ososanya, Mr. Rabiu Suleman Bichi and Honourable Monsuru Owolabi Alao among others.

According to the Chief Executive Officer, Curve Communications, Mr. Adeola Odunowo, “This award will definitely propel us to look inwards, strategise and become more innovative in our thinking because the time is actually now for Africans, most especially Nigerians, to make a mark on the global stage” It is also a little difficult to believe that we got recognized so fast, obliviously this will serve as a learning curve for the creative industry, Odunowo said.

The publisher of International Links Magazine, Mr. Niyi Dada stressed the need for African folks in the Diaspora to look inwards; though it is obvious they found themselves in relatively the best places to live in terms of comforts and infrastructures. He said it is however important to note that Africa today is the best place to make or create wealth, because wealth is a function or reward for service and its only in Africa that the long acquired skills and experiences are important and valuably rewarded.
