Going cashless: UBA launches ‘All About U’ debit card

To the delight of its teeming customers and card holders, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc has introduced a personalised debit card called the UBA “All About U” Card which allows Customers carry around their fond memories while using their Debit Cards.
The UBA “All About U” Card is an award winning customized Debit MasterCard which gives customers the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind card with their favorite photograph or image – allowing them the privilege of branding their payment card. Alternatively, cardholders can choose from a gallery of contemporary pre-selected images available at the specialized product portal and these designs can be adjusted to their satisfaction.
Using design software which seamlessly integrates with the bank’s card management system, the UBA “All About U” Card perfectly blends in the UBA brand with the customer’s creative imagination, making the customer a ‘partner-in-design’ while creating a sense of loyalty and enhancing affinity.
Divisional Head, e-Banking, UBA Plc Dr. Yinka Adedeji said, “With the “All About U” Card, UBA aims to introduce a bespoke look and feel to card issuance.” According to him, UBA is at the forefront of driving the Cashless initiative in Nigeria, and is set to raise the bar once again with the UBA “All About U” Debit MasterCard.
“As the name suggests, it really is all about you -the customer. “We all have a picture that makes us smile. It could be a holiday snapshot or family photo, a picture of a pet, or an image of a special hobby or that special car. Whatever it is, customers can create a personal card design with any image of their choice or one chosen from UBA’s contemporary and extensive image library,” Adedeji stated.
Targeted for mass appeal among the ‘young at heart’, customers can also go ahead to show off their customized card designs to family and friends via emails and several popular social /viral media sites including Twitter and Facebook.
Personal business owners are not left out as they can also showcase business offerings on their cards by either adding a logo (complete with the business name and tagline), an image that best represents what they do or customize the card background with any suitable image from the UBA image gallery.
