Plans are now in top gear for the grand opening of franchise and dealership shop for all models of Rolls Royce, the world class super luxury brand in Nigeria with Coscharis Motors as the most preferred partner chosen by the automakers.
This piece of good news was dropped in Lagos to the motoring press by Geoffrey Briscoe, regional director, Rolls Royce Motor Cars Limited, with regional office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates overseeing Middle East, Africa and Latin America markets. The regional director said that Rolls Royce premium cars are coming to Nigeria to wet the exclusive appetite of high-end top-of-the-range luxury desires of the super rich in the society.
Accompanied by Ayman Ghanem, regional general manager, Rolls Royce for Africa, Cosmas Maduka, president/chief executive and Josiah Samuel, group managing director; all of Coscharis Group, Geoffery Briscoe said that part of the decision and reasons why the car company chose Coscharis as its exclusive franchisee in the country was because of its attitude, reputation and passion for luxury cars.
He noted that over the years, Rolls Royce has maintained a very credible track record of building cars that are unique and relevant for every market and is prepared to produce product lines for the Nigerian market and entire African market that will meet the continents environmental conditions.
According to him, Rolls Royce found out that Nigeria is a country with an estimated 200 units of the brand running on the roads, but saddled with the problem of having a dedicated dealership that will render the necessary after sales and maintenance needs of the owners.
This is where Coscharis Motors will be bringing in its technical expertise that will be extensively trained locally by Rolls Royce automakers with regular back-up from Dubai and the United Kingdom. On customising the brand as security vehicles, Briscoe ruled out the possibility of armouring any of the models for the Nigeria market or any part of the country as an automaker.
In his words, “We don’t armour our cars and at Rolls Royce, we don’t endorse that although we have had cases of some dealerships in some parts of the world doing that for their customers.”
Cosmas Maduka, president of Coscharis Motors said that after opening the dealership, existing owners of Rolls Royce in Nigeria will be allowed to drive in their cars for servicing as part of measures to restore confidence in them that their vehicles can be handled by professional and well trained technicians.
Maduka assured prospective customers to the dealership after the May launch this year that buying a Rolls Royce will be like making an investment and statement of value taking into account the total cost of ownership to would be buyers.
On the extent of work carried out on the Rolls Royce showroom, the Coscharis chief explained that it will be ready by the May date when the brand willbe launched in Nigeria adding that at the end of completion, the showroom will not be anything less than a Rolls Royce standard.
Making further input on the Rolls Royce business, Josiah Samuel, group managing director, Coscharis group pointed out that Rolls Royce is not just an ordinary moving machine on four wheels, but a piece of monumental artefact that one keeps and cherish throughout his or her lifetime.
According to him, the buying public could be allowed the prerogative of being flown to the Rolls Royce factory to make a choice as to what they want in their model of choice. In that way, they are considered as part of the Rolls Royce family.
Fielding questions on how existing owners of the brand can get their cars serviced in Coscharis when the dealership is fully operational, the group managing director said, all that the company needs to do will be to carry out a diagnosis on the condition of the of the vehicle with a view to advising the customer(s) on what you should be done to bring the car back to life again.
Joshua Samuel pledged that Coscharis Motors will replicate that strong reputation that has remained with Rolls Royce in terms of model line, professional aftersales service team, quality spare parts and the automaker’s global showroom standard.
