While refuting rumours that his streaming company, Tidal, was failing, Jay-Z announced that his cousin has moved to Nigeria to discover some new talents.
Last week, we announced that Jay Electronica of Roc Nation is in Nigeria. While sources told us Jay Elect was only in the country to chill and do some sightseeing, Jay-Z’s revelation has shown us it is much deeper. It seems he came along with a Briant “Bee–High” Biggs, Jay-Z’s cousin who Jay wrote about in Decoded and referenced on a number of tracks, including “Blueprint (Momma Loves Me)”. Jay explains how Bee encouraged him to stop hustling and start taking rap seriously inDecoded. Bee managed some artists on Roc-A-Fella, before heading to Roc Nation where he iscurrently the director of mobile strategies.
Already, Don Jazzy has taken the opportunity and has gotten Jay Elect. in the studio. Wonder what kind of music will be the end result.
