5 Signs You Are Meant To Be an Entrepreneur

Not everybody will succeed as an entrepreneur. Some are made for this role while others will find it a struggle. If you are thinking about going it on your own and are not sure if you should, then these signs below should help you.

1. You question authority: Your boss, teacher or employer does not intimidate you. You are not the kind to just take their rules, suggestions or opinion without wanting to know how they arrive at it. While others just accept what they say because they assume the authorities already know what they are doing, you question it. This might have meant that in your past, people have described you as rude or stubborn when it comes to listening to “the boss.”

2. You are a leader: For you to rule an empire, you have to first know how to lead your ‘subjects.’ If you find that leadership comes naturally to you, it might be a sign that you are actually meant to be a leader in a higher capacity. Leadership means encouraging and expecting discipline from others as well as yourself. This is a very important character trait in an entrepreneur.
3. You are abuzz with ideas: In your head, you have a lot of ideas on how you can improve yourself and your society. You know that perhaps the only thing stopping you from the big time is waiting for the right time, needing capital or investors, etc. You are positive that if and when everything is set, you will take off running
4. You are decisive: It is almost impossible for an indecisive person to be an entrepreneur because they cannot even make a decision on what they want to do in the first place. If you find it easy to make decision and stick with it, and you find yourself comfortable with knowing this decision might turn out to be a wrong one in future, then you are the entrepreneurial kind. Not every single decision you make will work out, but an entrepreneur understand this and is unafraid to make mistakes.
5. You yearn for it: If you want to become an entrepreneur just because of the freedom, time or money it offers, then you might not be cut out for it. This is because entrepreneurship is a struggle, especially at first, so you are more likely to quit if your motives are not strong. You should do this because you have a yearning for it. You understand the risks but it does not stop you. You strongly believe that this is the only way you can shine.

These signs above are not the only things that tells you if you should run your own business, but they should let you know if you are prepared and going into it for the right reasons.
