As part of its strategic effort to improve teaching and learning among schools in Nigeria and help strengthen intellectual competition in students, World Book International, a leading publisher of reference and instructional materials for all ages, will be presenting World Book digital products to both public and private schools in Lagos.
Omotayo Morgan, managing director, Interworld Management and Services Limited, while speaking about the digital product in Lagos recently said World Book digital platform encourages critical thinking and the development of an analytical mind needed to make pupils think outside of the box.
According to her, “Today through the creative use of educational technology, the World Book continues to craft content that helps educators meet the challenges of changing standards, evolving expectations, and engaging and inspiring pupils and patrons.”
Morgan disclosed that online platform remains the most current and creative medium of teaching pupils, stressing that it is not only cost effective but also exposes pupils to imaginative way of thinking and learning.
“The package is crafted with the need of the pupils in mind to ensure their commitment to literacy is rewarded with easily understandable text that is informative and eminently readable.”
“Products of the initiative spanned all ages, subjects and formats with content that would enrich and enlighten the pupils,” she said.
The education further noted that since it’s founding in 1915, the World Book Inc. has been committed to creating accurate, objective and reliable reference materials that are essential for libraries and classrooms.
She stated that schools like the Corona Group of Schools and the American International School had already bought into the initiative, adding that the presentation of the products would take place on October 28th and 30th in Lagos.
“What we want to do is to sensitise the Nigeria public particularly the schools to this fantastic product that is now available. It is cost effective and tailored to the requirement of each school,” she added.
