The world’s population is 7.63 billion and more than 50% live in these 7 countries

As the world's population hits 7.63 billion, more than 50% of all people
around the world live in just seven countries.
According to the United Nations estimates, about 3.97 billion people are concentrated
in the seven countries.
These countries are:
1. China - world’s largest population
1.42 billion
2. India 1.35 billion
The next five most populous nations
3. United States 326.77 million
4. Indonesia 261.1 million
5. Brazil 207.7 million
6. Pakistan 193.1 million
7. Nigeria 186 million
As at 2014, half the world’s population was concentrated in just six countries – the same
nations as above, with the exception of Nigeria.
But in a World Population Day report, Pew Research said the recent population growth
has been faster in the rest of the world than in these six nations, meaning that the top
six now hold slightly less than half (49.4%) of the world’s people.
