What’s life when you are breathing
Yet you are not living
What’s life when you can smell
Yet the best of fragrances remains far from the nest
Is there food to eat?
Or even Garri nearer your reach?
And boredom attacks you from the rare
Promising to be your best friend
Sitting patiently is poverty waiting in your snare
Hardly can one sleep
With all the constant threat trying to claim our breath
My ears seems to be running deaf
Because of this glorified famine and terrorist faces
In different places
The world is definitely going crazy
What is coming next
CNN bullets of bad news keeps shooting from left to right
So much pain on this streets that cannot be explained
And seems everyone’s frustration is locked up in their heart’s cage
Because of their suffocating rage
They display in the traffic; is this not consuming us by day
Where are the few living for their dignity and name
The world’s fragrance is intoxicating with hate
And unconsciously trying to get us late
Hardly can I wait
When my dreams and sanity comes to stay
Where will justice finally come to lay
Will there ever be peace with this virus corruption on the streets
Will there be always beggars on the streets with no food to eat
How beautiful life would seem
To even beggars on the streets
