World Economic Forum Says Nigeria Plays Crucial Role In African Economy


wefaThe World Economic Forum has been explaining the choice of Nigeria as the host country for the 24th edition of the World Economic Forum on Africa.
The Director, Head of Africa, World Economic Forum, Elsie Kanza, who spoke to Channels Television on Business Morning via Skype said that Africa has been recording impressive growth with the growth rate projected to remain above 5 per cent this year.
With West Africa the fastest growing sub-region, representing the continent’s largest business opportunity, Nigeria remains at the top of the growth rate with a lot of investment opportunities.
According to her, Nigeria with over 160 million inhabitants already plays a crucial role in advancing the continent’s growth which is the attraction.
She also says that over 1,000 delegates from all over the world will be expected at the forum which begins in Abuja May 7-9.
