7 simple ways to keep liver functioning well

A piece of healthy liver that was removed from a person rests in a bag before being transplanted.

The liver is the largest internal organ in the body and it's responsible for

keeping toxins away from the body.

Located below the diaphragm, it nests in the upper right area of the stomach.
It helps break down fat by producing bile that helps to digest it (fat) so it can be
easily absorbed by the small intestine.
