United Kingdom Prime Minister Theresa May called for an exit poll earlier this week. In it she did not just received the shock of heroine but lost the majority in the parliament. The poll gave 7 British-Nigerians seats at the Parliement.
In the concluded election at the exit, 7 British-Nigerians won seats in various constituents in the UK.
Chi Onwurah was the first result to be announced at the exit polls. She won to represents Newcastle-Central at the parliament.
Onwurah was born Alril 12, 1965 and was first elected on the platform of the Labour Party in 2010.
Others include Kate Ofu ne Osamor elected member to represent Edmonton.
British-Nigerian Chuka Umunna is elected to represents Streatham, Bim Afolami represents Hitchin and Harpenden, Olukemi Adegoke to represents Saffron Walden and the last often is Fiona Onasanyo won the seat to represent Peterboborough constituency.
The seven British-Nigerians are all of Nigerian descents, either were. Born in British of Nigerian parents or born in Nigeriaand brought up in Britain.
The exit polls leave ever lasting mark as the first the parliament is have women majority in the said UK parliament.
The exit poll result leave a huge loss to the Conservatives and gave Labour grounds to take move closer to the mantle of theleadership in the UK.
